Agilisium to Shift Asia Headquarters to Hyderabad, Targets $500 Million Revenue
Hyderabad, Oct 27 (TNT): Life sciences innovation and transformation company Agilisium on Tuesday announced plans to relocate its Asia headquarters from Chennai to Hyderabad, targeting revenue of $500 million and a workforce of around 5,000 specialised professionals over the next five to seven years.
In a release, Agilisium, which operates in Chennai and Pune, said the proposed relocation would strengthen its presence in Hyderabad’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology ecosystem and support its expansion in artificial intelligence (AI), scientific research and proprietary technology development.
The company expects to close 2026 with revenue of $72 million to $75 million and cross $100 million in annual life sciences revenue in 2027.
Since entering the life sciences sector in 2018, the company has built capabilities across research and drug discovery, clinical development, manufacturing and commercial operations.
Its growth strategy focuses on combining scientific expertise, industry knowledge and advanced AI to develop specialised solutions and proprietary intellectual property, moving beyond the conventional IT services model.
Agilisium Founder and CEO Raj Babu said Hyderabad was well positioned to support the company’s ambition of building a global life sciences innovation and transformation enterprise. He cited Telangana’s life sciences leadership, industry ecosystem and BioAsia platform as factors supporting the sector’s growth.
The company is developing AI-based platforms, including Alexandria AI, designed to help life sciences commercial teams prepare for product launches and new-indication expansions. Its ZenixBio initiative focuses on scientific research and innovation.
Agilisium plans to reinvest a significant portion of its profits in innovation laboratories focused on AI agents, specialised solutions and proprietary platforms for global life sciences organisations.
Arun Kumar, Chief Operating Officer and Chief AI and Innovation Officer of Agilisium, said the company was investing in specialised talent, proprietary AI platforms and innovative delivery models to address complex challenges across the life sciences value chain.
The planned headquarters shift marks a further step in the company’s expansion in India as it seeks to strengthen its capabilities and serve global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical-device companies.
