Hyderabad-Based Cube Elevators Partners Italian Firm to Bring Hydraulic Lift Technology to Existing Buildings
Hyderabad, July 9 (TNT): Hyderabad-based Cube Elevators, a brand of Lifts Trade Pvt Ltd, on Thursday announced the introduction of premium Italian hydraulic lift technology aimed at enabling the installation of elevators in existing homes and buildings with minimal structural modifications.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Cube Elevators Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Avinash Challa said the technology, sourced from Hydronic Lift S.p.A., Italy, allows lifts to be installed in older houses, villas, hospitals and other buildings without the need for deep pits or separate machine rooms.
Branded under the initiative “Lift the Un-Lifted”, he said the hydraulic lift system requires only a shallow pit and a compact machine cabinet, making it suitable for buildings that were not originally designed to accommodate elevators.
All its hydraulic lift installations comply with IS 17900, India’s national safety standard for lifts, he said that it has installed more than 200 hydraulic home lifts across Hyderabad and nearby regions, while over 100 additional installations are currently under execution.
Cube Elevators manufactures elevator cabins, doors and structural components at its facility in IDA Balanagar in the city, while the hydraulic drive systems are supplied by Hydronic Lift S.p.A, he informed.
Its manufacturing arm, Lifts Trade Pvt. Ltd., produced 1,400 elevator cabins and safety car frames over the past year for hydraulic, traction geared and traction gearless elevators, said  Avinash.
He said the company’s objective was to make modern elevator technology accessible to families living in existing buildings.
Hydronic Lift S.p.A. Product Leader Federico Lama said India represents a strategic growth market and that the partnership with Cube Elevators combines Italian hydraulic technology with local manufacturing to deliver safe and reliable mobility solutions.
During his visit to Hyderabad, Lama conducted technical training sessions for Cube Elevators’ installation engineers and interacted with members of the Telangana Elevator Association.
The company is also working to promote higher safety standards in the elevator industry through compliance with the latest national lift safety code, he added.
