‘Ramayana Part 1’ Tops IMDb’s Most Anticipated Indian Movies List for Second Half of 2026
Mumbai, June 30 (TNT): IMDb has unveiled its list of the Most Anticipated Indian Movies scheduled for release between July and December 2026, with Ramayana Part 1 emerging as the most-awaited title based on page views from more than 250 million monthly users worldwide.
The rankings reflect user interest recorded between January 1 and June 28, 2026, among films slated for release in the second half of the year, the company said in a release here on Tuesday.
The top five films on the list are Ramayana Part 1, Alpha, Toxic, King, and Dhamaal 4.
The list comprises 20 films across five languages, including 12 Hindi films, four Tamil, two Malayalam, one Telugu and one Kannada title, highlighting the diversity of India’s theatrical slate.
Among the notable entries are Drishyam 3, Vishwanath & Sons, Mirzapur: The Movie, Haiwaan, Eetha, Awarapan 2, Ikka, Arasan, Khalifa, I’m Game, Ranabaali, Shakti Shalini, Idhayam Murali, Sigma, and Vvan – Force of the Forrest.
The rankings also underscore the prominence of several leading actors. Yash features in two of the top three films—Ramayana Part 1 and Toxic—while Anil Kapoor appears in Alpha and King. Sunny Deol stars in Ramayana Part 1 and Ikka, and Ajay Devgn headlines both Dhamaal 4 and Drishyam 3.
According to IMDb, Mirzapur: The Movie marks the first feature film adaptation of a successful Indian streaming series, while Ikka is the only direct-to-streaming release among the 20 most anticipated titles.
