PULSUS Group Bets on AI Healthcare Boom, Plans Major Expansion of Telangana Campus
Hyderabad, June 15 (TNT): PULSUS Group is accelerating investments in artificial intelligence-driven healthcare and digital services with plans to expand its Ameenpur campus in Telangana into a major AI Healthcare and Digital Innovation Hub, targeting 6,000 direct jobs and 30,000 indirect employment opportunities.
The expansion comes after a Supreme Court ruling upheld the project’s IT/ITeS and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status, removing a key regulatory hurdle and paving the way for fresh investments and rapid scaling of operations.
Backed by a planned investment of ₹500 crore, the 35-acre campus near Hyderabad’s Miyapur growth corridor is being positioned as a technology and healthcare innovation centre catering to global markets.
The company said the project aligns with growing international demand for AI-powered healthcare solutions, digital health infrastructure, clinical research support services and healthcare data analytics.
PULSUS Group CEO Dr. Gedela Srinubabu said the company would now fast-track the development of the campus into one of Telangana’s largest AI healthcare and digital innovation centres.
“With the project now gaining ITES-SEZ status, our goal is to accelerate efforts to establish one of Telangana’s leading AI Healthcare and Digital Innovation campuses, creating more than 6,000 high-quality jobs for engineers, healthcare professionals, researchers and digital specialists,” he said.
The company is building on an established employment base. Parliamentary records under the India BPO Promotion Scheme show that Omics International, part of the PULSUS Group, generated 2,836 direct jobs by March 2022 and is targeting around 6,000 jobs in Visakhapatnam while supporting an estimated 30,000 indirect jobs. The records also recognise employment generation at the Ameenpur facility.
Industry experts view the convergence of artificial intelligence and healthcare as one of the fastest-growing segments globally, driven by increasing adoption of predictive analytics, healthcare automation, clinical data management and digital patient services.
The expansion is expected to strengthen Telangana’s position as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), healthcare technology firms and knowledge-based service companies.
PULSUS plans to collaborate with universities, research institutions, healthcare organisations, startups and technology companies to build an integrated innovation ecosystem supporting research, talent development and global service delivery.
The company said the hub would create demand for software engineers, AI specialists, healthcare data scientists, bioinformatics experts, clinical research associates and digital services professionals, reflecting the increasing commercial opportunities at the intersection of healthcare and advanced technologies.
