Four Young Women Aspiring for Political Careers Meet KTR

HYDERABAD, June 14 (TNT): Four young women aspiring to pursue careers in politics and public policy met BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) at Telangana Bhavan here on Sunday and discussed governance, public service and political participation.

The students informed Rama Rao that they had collectively decided to pursue careers in politics and public policy and had been engaging in discussions on governance and social issues since their school days.

Appreciating their interest in public affairs, KTR  said it was encouraging to see young women showing interest in politics at a young age and taking steps towards understanding public administration and policymaking.

According to a statement, the BRS leader assured the students of his support and encouragement in their efforts to gain a deeper understanding of governance and political processes.

Later, in a social media post, KTR said he was pleasantly surprised to meet four young women who had approached him with a genuine interest in entering politics.

He said the interaction strengthened his belief that greater youth participation in public life was essential for the future of democratic governance.

The students included Sarayu, who is set to pursue Politics, Economics and Philosophy at King’s College London; Lasya, a student of NALSAR University of Law; Revathi, a student of Symbiosis Law School; and Ashwini, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at St. Francis College for Women.

During the interaction, the students expressed their desire to gain a deeper understanding of political processes, governance and grassroots administration.

KTR  reportedly responded positively and said opportunities would be created for them to engage with his team and gain practical exposure to policy and political work.

He said the confidence, social awareness and sense of responsibility displayed by the young women reflected the aspirations of a generation seeking to play a more active role in shaping society.

The students described the interaction as inspiring and said it had strengthened their determination to contribute to public life. They also expressed their intention to continue working together on policy and governance-related issues.

KTR said meaningful social change required greater participation from the younger generation and expressed confidence that the students would emerge as future leaders in public life.
