Telangana:  Cyberabad Police arrest 154 accused in 61 NDPS Cases,  Drugs Worth Rs.3.69 Cr Seized

Hyderabad, May 23 (TNT):The Cyberabad Police Enforcement teams, along with Law and Order Police, have intensified their crackdown on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances under the NDPS Act between April 1 and May 22, 2026, registering 61 cases and arresting 154 accused persons.

The total value of drugs seized during the period stood at ₹3.69 crore, said Shoban Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, SOT, Cyberabad, in a release here on Saturday.

The seizures included 559.618 kg of ganja worth ₹2.79 crore in 42 cases, 28.225 kg of ganja chocolates worth ₹56,450 in two cases, 2.02 litres of hashish oil valued at ₹25.25 lakh in five cases, and 317.6 grams of methamphetamine worth ₹63.52 lakh in two cases.

Police also booked 10 consumer-related cases involving 245 grams of dry ganja and 1.8 grams of MDMA, leading to the arrest of 24 persons.

Cyberabad Police stated that it continues to take stringent and proactive action against drug trafficking through intelligence-led operations and coordinated enforcement efforts, with a focus on tackling both traditional narcotics and emerging synthetic drug threats.

The police appealed to citizens to cooperate and share credible information to help eliminate the drug menace from society.
