BJP Telangana Launches Awareness Campaign on PM Modi’s ‘Sapta Sutras’

Hyderabad, May 14(TNT): The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday organised a special programme and released an awareness pamphlet on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Sapta Sutras”, urging citizens to adopt austerity measures and contribute towards strengthening the national economy amid global uncertainties.

The pamphlet, released in English and Telugu, highlighted seven key suggestions made by the Prime Minister, including reducing petrol and diesel consumption, avoiding unnecessary gold purchases, encouraging work-from-home practices, increasing the use of public transport, reducing cooking oil consumption, promoting natural farming, adopting swadeshi products and avoiding foreign tours.

Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao attended the programme as the chief guest and formally released the pamphlet.

Addressing the gathering, Rao said every citizen must act responsibly to strengthen the nation’s economy and contribute towards the vision of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat”.

He said promoting indigenous products, conserving energy and encouraging domestic investments would further strengthen India’s economic future.

“Patriotism does not just mean sacrificing one’s life for the country; living and serving the nation responsibly is also a profound act of patriotism,” he said.

Rao stated that the Prime Minister’s suggestions were aimed at protecting the country’s economic interests and were rooted in national economic security and social responsibility.

Referring to global economic conditions and inflationary pressures, he appealed to people to adopt austerity measures in their daily lives.

The BJP leader also noted that the Prime Minister had set an example by reducing the number of vehicles in his convoy.

He urged Hyderabad residents to make greater use of Metro Rail and other public transport systems and encouraged practices such as carpooling and adoption of electric vehicles to reduce fuel consumption.

Drawing comparisons with previous governments, Rao said former Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh and Indira Gandhi had also introduced austerity measures during periods of economic stress.

Economist Krishna Reddy delivered a presentation on the “Sapta Sutras” and explained the importance of public participation in strengthening the national economy and conserving foreign exchange.

The event was attended by BJP Telangana chief spokesperson and media in-charge N V Subhash, party office-bearers, spokespersons and media panelists.
