Vemuru (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 9 (TNT):Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said the government will complete distribution of 1.12 crore pattadar passbooks by March 2027 and ensure they are delivered directly to beneficiaries’ homes in a corruption-free manner.
Participating in the ‘Mee Bhoomi – Mee Hakku’ programme at Surepalli village in Vemuru constituency of Bapatla district, Naidu personally distributed passbooks to farmers and reviewed land records.
He said the state has launched Re-survey 2.0 to permanently resolve land disputes, adding that re-survey has been completed in 6,976 villages out of 16,816 villages, and the entire process will be completed by March 2027.
Naidu said advanced security features including blockchain technology, QR codes and digital lockers have been introduced in passbooks to prevent tampering.
He said the Land Titling Act was repealed to safeguard property rights and noted that 1.37 lakh acres of village service Inam lands have been removed from Section 22-A, while steps are underway to free another one lakh acres.
The Chief Minister said the government has implemented 100 per cent auto-mutation for sale, gift and partition deeds and simplified registration charges.
Referring to tourism development, Naidu said Suryalanka Beach would be developed as a “Mini Goa” with focus on eco-tourism, temple tourism and beach tourism.
He also assured development of Vemuru constituency and announced Rs 10 crore for a bridge on Tungabhadra drain, Rs 15 crore for an HLB on Kolluru ferry road, Rs 2 crore for a culvert on Bhattiprolu–Pesarlanka road and a fire station in Vemuru.
Criticising political opponents, the Chief Minister alleged that some leaders were resorting to threats and intimidation after losing power and warned against attempts to destabilise the state.
He said his government remains committed to law-abiding governance, transparency and people-centric reforms for the state’s long-term growth.
