Amaravati, Mar 26 (TNT): The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Culinary Institute in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to promote the state as a culinary tourism hub.
The MoU documents were exchanged between representatives of the Indian Culinary Institute and Ajay Jain, Special Chief Secretary (Tourism).
The collaboration aims to promote Telugu cuisine on national and international platforms while focusing on skill development programmes in the culinary sector, thereby enhancing employment and livelihood opportunities for youth.
As part of the agreement, the institute will work with the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority to organise food festivals and tourism events across the state.
The initiative is expected to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s tourism ecosystem by integrating food culture with travel experiences, attracting both domestic and international tourists.
Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, AP Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Nukasana Balaji and representatives of hotel associations were present on the occasion.
