Ekadasha Rudra Parayanam for World Peace and Humanity’s Welfare concludes at Srisailam

Srisailam(Andhra Pradesh), Mar 1 (TNT): As part of the Sacred Centenary Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations (SSSSO)– India conducted a rare and powerful National Sadhana of Rudropasana, culminating in the Ekadasha Rudra Parayanam at the holy shrine of Srisailam Jyotirlinga Mahakshetram here on Sunday.

This historic spiritual offering invoked blessings for world peace, harmony, and universal welfare.

The year-long Vedic Yajna, which began in April 2025, spanned all twelve revered Jyotirlinga Kshetras, symbolising the infinite divine presence of Lord Shiva.

Srisailam holds unique sanctity as the abode of Lord Mallikarjuna and as the Shakti Peetha of Goddess Bhramarambika.

The site is further sanctified by Bhagawan’s historic 1963 visit, when He showered Tummi flowers upon the Mallikarjuna Linga and materialised a necklace for the goddess, leaving an enduring mark of grace.

Addressing the devotees, RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSSCT), emphasised that the event at Srisailam reflects Bhagawan’s Divine Sankalpa.

He highlighted Swami’s vision of spreading the Vedas globally, noting that today devotees in over 150 countries chant the Vedas and Sri Rudram daily — a manifestation of Bhagawan’s indomitable resolve and spiritual mission.

Over 5,000 devotees participated in the culmination programme, which began before dawn with Nagar Sankirtan and a grand procession carrying sacred Poornakumbhams through the North Gopuram.

The formal inauguration featured the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Rathnakar, Ms Himavahini Rathnakar, Nimish Pandya, and Ms Kamala Pandya.

The Ekadasha Sri Rudram resonated through the temple precincts, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere of unity, devotion, and inner purification.

The gathering was graced by national and state leaders of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, temple authorities, coordinators, and thousands of devotees from across India.
