Future-Ready Classrooms: Hyderabad Educators Discuss AI and Global Learning
Hyderabad, Oct 22 (TNT): As artificial intelligence and automation reshape the modern workplace, school education must move beyond rote academic delivery to cultivate critical human skills such as adaptability, independent judgment, and problem-solving, educators emphasized at an academic conclave organized by Cambridge International Education here.
The round-table brought together school principals and directors from 12 prominent educational institutions across Hyderabad to examine how curriculums must evolve for students navigating rapid technological disruption.
A central focus of the discussions was balancing global academic standards with the realities of the Indian education landscape, enabling learners to pursue higher education opportunities both in India and abroad.
School leaders observed that while AI tools can retrieve answers and organize data instantaneously, universities and global employers increasingly prioritize interpersonal communication, ethical decision-making, and creative thinking.
“Parents today are looking for an education that not only helps their children succeed academically but also prepares them for university, employment, and lifelong success,” said Vinay Sharma, Senior Vice President, International Education (South Asia) at Cambridge.
“The jobs our students will enter are changing rapidly, driven by technology, AI, and global connectivity.
Schools therefore have an important responsibility to develop confident learners who can think independently, communicate effectively, solve real-world problems, and adapt to changing circumstances,” Vinay added.
Ritesh Bhuriwale, Director of Kiran International School, Boduppal, noted that the interactive session provided actionable perspectives on aligning international pedagogical frameworks with local classroom environments.
The engagement reflects a broader surge in the adoption of international curricula across the country.
