Aprilia Launches SXR GT Scooter Range in Telangana
Hyderabad, Oct 21 (TNT): Aprilia India , a subsidiary of the Piaggio Group , has launched its new SXR GT range of scooters in Hyderabad, with the 125cc variant priced at Rs 1.10 lakh and the 175cc version at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) across Telangana.
The scooters were unveiled in the presence of Ajay Raghuvanshi, Executive Vice-President and Head of Two-Wheeler Domestic Business at Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, the company in a release on Tuesday.
The new range is designed to cater to both daily commuters and riders seeking longer touring journeys, combining performance, comfort, updated styling and technology features.
Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director of Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, said India’s scooter market offered significant opportunities for premiumisation as customers increasingly sought products offering performance, comfort, technology and distinctive design.
The SXR GT 125 is available in Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White, while the SXR GT 175 comes in Metallic Blue, Matte Black and Matte Green. Both models feature updated graphics and 14-inch wheels.
The 175cc variant produces 9.76 kW of power and 14.14 Nm of torque, while the 125cc version delivers 7.8 kW and 10.4 Nm of torque. Both engines comply with BSVI OBD II Stage B emission norms and are compatible with E20 fuel.
The SXR GT 175 features a five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, call and music management, and turn-by-turn navigation. The 125cc model comes with a five-inch LCD display.
In terms of safety, the 175cc scooter is equipped with front-wheel ABS and a front disc brake, while the 125cc variant gets a 220 mm front disc brake and a 140 mm rear drum brake.
The company will also offer optional accessories, including an adjustable windshield and crash guard, to enhance touring functionality and customisation.
