AP CM Launches ‘Venkatadri’ App virtually to Facilitate Pilgrim Navigation in Tirumala

Tirumala, Oct 12 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday virtually launched ‘Venkatadri’, a mobile application developed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to help pilgrims navigate Tirumala and access information on essential facilities and services.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for the projects virtually from the Secretariat in Amaravati

Available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and English, the application can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The application features an artificial intelligence-powered voice assistant that provides round-the-clock guidance, enabling devotees to locate drinking water points, darshan entry points, hospitals, parking areas and other facilities.

It also supports offline navigation for use in areas with limited or no internet connectivity.

Venkatadri maps more than 350 locations across 25 categories, including public toilets, bus stops, luggage centres, footwear-deposit centres, food outlets, room-allotment counters, pilgrim help desks, TTD offices, Kalyana Kattas, police stations and the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex.

The app provides one-touch access to emergency contacts, police services and the TTD helpline, besides displaying bus routes and timings.

Its ‘Mark My Spot’ feature allows users to save their parking location or other important places and navigate back to them.

TTD is also developing kiosk facilities to help pilgrims who do not own smartphones access navigation and essential information.

TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary and US-based NRI philanthropist JP explained the functioning of the application to the Chief Minister, who congratulated TTD on developing the pilgrim-friendly initiative.
