Bangaru Tiruchi Fete Marks Commencement of Navaratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala
Tirumala, Oct 12 (TNT): The Navahnika Navaratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala commenced with the Bangaru Tiruchi utsavam on Monday, with the processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy and His consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi taken in a ceremonial procession along the four mada streets.
The religious procession marked the beginning of the nine-day festivities at the hill shrine.
Both pontiffs of Tirumala, TTD Executive Officer M. Ravichandra, Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, board members and other officials participated in the event.
