Cyient launches Intelligent Engineering Solutions business unit to accelerate AI-led growth

Hyderabad, Oct 6 (TNT): Cyient Ltd, a global lifecycle engineering services company, on Tuesday announced the formation of a new business unit, Intelligent Engineering Solutions (IES), aimed at accelerating technology-led growth and translating emerging technologies into measurable customer outcomes.

IES brings together data, engineering domain expertise and business context across the lifecycle engineering spectrum through a platform-led artificial intelligence (AI) operating model anchored on CYiNGINE, Cyient’s lifecycle engineering intelligence platform.

The new unit will deliver solutions across the engineering lifecycle, from planning and design to operations, and support customers in managing their AI technology stacks, the company said.

IES will operate through three AI-enabled playbooks covering Engineering, Service, and Quality and Regulatory lifecycles, supported by data engineering, analytics and AI-enabled software development.

CYiNGINE combines governed industrial data, engineering domain knowledge and AI and large language model (LLM) capabilities to embed AI into engineering workflows and measure business outcomes.

In the Engineering lifecycle, the platform is aimed at enabling faster design and change cycles, improving first-time-right rates and increasing the reuse of engineering intellectual property.

For the Service lifecycle, it is designed to improve asset availability and reduce unplanned outages through AI-assisted diagnostics, predictive maintenance and automated service knowledge.

In the Quality and Regulatory lifecycle, the platform seeks to accelerate certification and compliance through continuous, audit-ready traceability while reducing rework and regulatory risks.

Cyient Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Sukamal Banerjee said the company was focused on using AI to deliver tangible business outcomes rather than adopting the technology for its own sake.

He said IES would bring together the company’s investments in research and development, partnerships and talent to integrate AI into core engineering disciplines and support customers across product design, manufacturing and servicing.

IES will be led by Cyient Chief Business Officer Harjott Atrii, who has been involved in developing the company’s data, AI and technology capabilities.

Atrii said the company’s engineering expertise, governed industrial data and customer relationships would enable it to combine domain knowledge with AI through CYiNGINE.

He said the three playbooks would focus on measurable outcomes including faster engineering cycles, higher asset availability and faster regulatory clearance.

The company said the initiative would help strengthen its positioning as a lifecycle engineering services partner by bringing together engineering capabilities with data, AI and technology to support customers from engineering and development through deployment and operations.
