ISB announces scholarships, research initiatives to mark 25th anniversary

Hyderabad, Oct 6 (TNT): The Indian School of Business (ISB) on Tuesday announced a set of long-term institutional initiatives, including 250 scholarships annually and a national research platform, as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

Under the ISB25 Scholars Programme, the business school will award 250 scholarships every year across its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and PGP in Management for Young Leaders (PGP YL).

The scholarships will provide tuition fee waivers of 100 per cent, 50 per cent, 30 per cent and 25 per cent on a merit-cum-need basis, ISB said.

The programme aims to expand access to management education for candidates from diverse economic, geographical and professional backgrounds.

ISB will also establish the India Research Commons, a national platform providing scholars across the country access to curated datasets, research tools, methodological resources and AI-enabled research infrastructure.

The school will launch a national faculty development programme alongside the research initiative to share its pedagogy, classroom practices and technology-enabled teaching methods with management institutions across India.

ISB Dean Professor Madan Pillutla said the ISB@25 initiative was aimed at making excellence more accessible, knowledge more shareable and research more usable for institutions and scholars across the country.

The initiatives build on several programmes launched by ISB in recent years. In 2025, the school introduced the PGP in Management for Young Leaders, admitting an inaugural batch of 130 students, with more than a third receiving tuition fee waivers.

The school also launched ISB Discover in 2025, a digital knowledge platform aimed at making faculty research accessible to policymakers, business leaders and the public.

ISB has also undertaken a review of its flagship PGP curriculum, incorporating inputs from alumni, recruiters and industry to provide greater flexibility, customised learning pathways and stronger alignment with changing workplace requirements.

Founded in 2001, ISB has more than 20,000 alumni across over 65 countries.

Its PGP is ranked first in India and second in Asia, according to the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2026.

The school has campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali and holds triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.

Through ISB@25, the institution aims to build on its 25 years of academic and institutional capabilities by expanding access to management education, strengthening research and contributing to the development of management education capacity in India.
