Philippine Airlines to Launch Delhi-Manila, First-Ever Mumbai-Manila Flights from December
New Delhi, Sept 28 (TNT): Philippine Airlines (PAL), the Philippines’ flag carrier, on Monday announced plans to launch three weekly non-stop flights between Delhi and Manila and four weekly flights on its first-ever Mumbai-Manila route from December 2026, subject to approval from the Indian government.
The new services will provide Indian travellers with direct connectivity to the Philippines and onward connections through Manila to destinations across Southeast Asia, North America, Australia and North Asia, the airlines said in a release.
Flights between Delhi and Manila will operate as PR643 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Delhi at 8.15 am and arriving in Manila at 5 pm. The return service, PR642, will depart Manila at 10.40 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving in Delhi at 3 am the following day.
The Mumbai-Manila service, operating as PR647, will depart Mumbai at 7.15 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, reaching Manila at 5 pm.
The return flight, PR646, will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing Manila at 10.40 pm and arriving in Mumbai at 3.05 am the following day. All timings are local.
PAL will deploy its 168-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft on both routes, featuring 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 156 Economy Class seats.
The airline will offer Indian-inspired inflight meals, including vegetarian and Jain options, along with entertainment and other onboard services.
Through its Manila hub, passengers will have onward connections to Philippine destinations such as Cebu, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo and Davao, as well as international destinations including Los Angeles, Vancouver, Honolulu, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Tokyo Haneda and Hong Kong.
The new services are also expected to strengthen PAL’s cargo operations by facilitating shipments from India through Manila to its wider domestic and international cargo network.
Indian nationals travelling to the Philippines for tourism or business may enter the country visa-free for up to 14 days, subject to applicable entry requirements.
