Tirumala: 505 artistes from 20 troupes enthral devotees during Surya Prabha Vahana Seva

Tirumala, Sept 21 (TNT): As many as 505 artistes from 20 cultural troupes representing seven Indian states and Germany entertained devotees during the Surya Prabha Vahana Seva as part of the ongoing Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams here on Monday.

The artistes presented classical and folk dances, Kolatam, drum performances, Lezim, Bhangra and other traditional art forms, adding colour to the festival celebrations.

TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra felicitated four outstanding troupes for their performances.

The Sri Venkateswara Music and Dance College troupe led by C H Jagadish presented Bharatanatyam, while the Annamacharya Project troupe led by V Ramya performed Khargattam in Puducherry.

The Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad troupe led by Reba Modi presented Mopin dance from Arunachal Pradesh, while the Dasa Sahitya Project troupe led by H Ananth performed Bharatanatyam from Hubballi.

The participation of artistes from different parts of India and Germany showcased the diverse cultural traditions associated with the Brahmotsavams and provided devotees an opportunity to witness a variety of traditional art forms.
