Eminent Plastic Surgeon Provides Specialised Services at SVIMS Under Srivari Vaidya Seva
Tirupati, Sept 12 (TNT): Eminent plastic surgeon Dr. P. Munichandra Naidu has provided specialised medical services to patients at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati, under the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) initiative, Srivari Vaidya Seva.
Dr. Munichandra Naidu, M.S., M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery), associated with Metro Super Speciality Hospital, Vijayawada, examined patients and provided specialist consultations and treatment guidance at the Department of Plastic Surgery at SVIMS from September 10 to 12.
In a release , Dr. Gudaru Jagadish, Director and Vice-Chancellor of SVIMS, on Saturday said the participation of a specialist with nearly three decades of experience would help patients with complex plastic and reconstructive surgical conditions access expert medical opinion and advanced treatment options.
He said the objective of Srivari Vaidya Seva was to bring the expertise of eminent specialists within the reach of poor and underprivileged patients.
“No patient should be denied advanced medical care merely because of financial limitations. Our commitment is to ensure that sophisticated and specialised treatment reaches those who need it most, with quality, dignity and compassion,” Dr. Jagadish said.
He said the initiative would also provide an opportunity for SVIMS doctors, residents and postgraduate students to benefit from the clinical expertise of visiting specialists through mentoring, teaching and knowledge sharing.
Dr. Jagadish appealed to eminent medical specialists across India and Indian doctors practising abroad to voluntarily associate themselves with Srivari Vaidya Seva and dedicate part of their time and expertise to serving poor patients at SVIMS.
He invited specialists from various disciplines, including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopaedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, endocrinology, paediatrics, critical care and other super-specialities, to participate in the initiative.
Dr. Munichandra Naidu said he considered it a privilege and blessing to have the opportunity to serve patients at SVIMS as part of Srivari Vaidya Seva.
He also appealed to eminent specialists in India and abroad to come forward and contribute their expertise to the humanitarian initiative.
Dr. Jagadish said SVIMS, with the support of TTD, would continue to strengthen and expand Srivari Vaidya Seva with the objective of bringing advanced medical expertise within the reach of poor and needy patients.
He emphasised that a patient’s financial status should not become a barrier to accessing modern medical care, describing the initiative’s guiding principle as “People’s Health – Srivari Seva.”
