Telangana: Six killed, 12 injured as private bus hits stationary truck in Suryapet District
Suryapet (Telangana), Aug 26 (TNT): Six passengers, including five women, were killed and 12 others injured, two of them seriously when a private bus rammed into a stationary truck near Dwarakunta in Kodad mandal of Suryapet district in the early hours of Wednesday, police said.
The accident occurred when the bus, carrying around 42 passengers, was travelling to Eluru in Andhra Pradesh from Hyderabad.
All six victims died on the spot, while the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, police added.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident.
In a message, the Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju to ensure the injured receive better medical care.
