Telangana CM recalls Prof. Jayashankar’s  invaluable contribution

Hyderabad, Aug. 5 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday paid rich tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof. K. Jayashankar on the eve of his birth anniversary, saying the people of the state would forever remember his invaluable contribution to the Telangana movement and the formation of a separate state.

In a message, the Chief Minister said Prof. Jayashankar dedicated his entire life to the cause of Telangana and remained steadfast in the struggle for statehood until his last breath.

Describing him as a towering personality, Revanth Reddy said Prof. Jayashankar kept the movement for a separate Telangana alive for nearly six decades by presenting before the nation, with statistical evidence, the injustices and discrimination faced by the people of the region.

The Chief Minister said the ideological strength and guidance provided by Prof. Jayashankar during the Telangana movement would remain unforgettable and reaffirmed that the State Government was committed to realising the ideals and aspirations for which he had fought throughout his life.
