Yoga Bridges Health and Spirituality, Says TTD EO Ravichandra
Tirupati, June 7 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra on Sunday said yoga plays a vital role in achieving physical fitness, mental peace and spiritual growth.
He was inaugurating the “Yoga–TTD Arogyananda” programme at Mahati Kalakshetram in Tirupati as part of the run-up to International Yoga Day, which will be observed on June 21.
Addressing the gathering, the EO said yoga helps individuals maintain balance in life, enhances peace of mind and boosts self-confidence.
He urged all TTD employees to actively participate in the daily yoga sessions being organised from June 7 to June 21, noting that regular practice contributes significantly to both physical and mental well-being.
TTD Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkaiah Chowdary described yoga as an effective solution for managing stress and improving concentration.
He said yoga also promotes emotional stability and inner strength, enabling individuals to lead healthier and more productive lives.
Joint Executive Officer Dr. A. Sarath termed yoga a pathway to spiritual advancement and said TTD has planned a series of awareness programmes, competitions and special events in the lead-up to International Yoga Day to encourage wider participation.
Earlier, TTD employees, students, staff members and Srivari Sevaks took part in yoga sessions and a rally organised as part of the campaign. A special audio-visual presentation on yoga, along with demonstrations of Surya Namaskars and various yoga postures, was also conducted.
The inaugural “TTD Arogyananda” programme was simultaneously organised at various TTD-run institutions and temples, witnessing enthusiastic participation from officials, employees, students and devotees.
