Wipro launches STO360 solution with Aramco, SAP for asset-intensive industries
Bengaluru, Sept 17 (TNT): Wipro on Thursday announced the launch of Wipro STO360, a solution developed in collaboration with Aramco and SAP to help asset-intensive organisations modernise and manage Shutdown, Turnaround and Outage (STO) operations.
Built on SAP’s Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), the solution combines Wipro’s industry expertise with Aramco’s operational experience and is aimed at sectors including oil and gas, chemicals, mining, manufacturing and utilities.
In a release, Wipro said the end-to-end solution provides real-time visibility into critical activities, facilitates collaboration across teams and supports decision-making throughout the STO lifecycle.
Using a cloud-native architecture, STO360 is designed to help organisations improve asset reliability and operational efficiency, strengthen compliance and reduce risks associated with maintenance programmes.
Wipro APMEA CEO Vinay Firake said asset-intensive industries needed to adopt AI-led transformation to address increasing operational complexity and regulatory requirements.
Aramco Executive Vice-President of Technology and Innovation Ahmad O Al Khowaiter said the company was implementing STO360 to transform business operations and improve efficiency and productivity in turnaround and inspection planning and execution.
Wipro said it has been a partner to Aramco for more than two decades, providing services across IT, engineering and digital transformation.
SAP Global Senior Vice-President of ISV Partner Management Darryl Gray said Wipro STO360 had achieved SAP-endorsed app status, supporting SAP’s cloud-first and business AI strategy.
Wipro STO360 is available through the SAP Store, the company said.
