Wipro appoints Angan Guha as CEO of Americas 2 strategic market unit
Bengaluru, Nov 6 (TNT): Wipro Limited on Friday announced the appointment of Angan Guha as President and Chief Executive Officer of its Americas 2 Strategic Market Unit, effective December 8, 2026.
Guha will report to Wipro CEO and Managing Director Srini Pallia and join the company’s Executive Leadership Team, the IT company said in a release.
In his new role, Guha will focus on strengthening Wipro’s business across Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Energy and Utilities, and Manufacturing sectors in the Americas 2 market, while accelerating growth, deepening client relationships and enhancing service delivery.
Welcoming Guha, Pallia said his experience in driving business growth, innovation and execution would help strengthen the company’s Americas business and create greater value for clients.
Guha said he was excited to rejoin Wipro at a significant time for the technology industry, adding that the evolving artificial intelligence landscape offered opportunities for businesses to innovate and transform.
Guha brings over three decades of experience in technology and business leadership.
Before joining Wipro, he served as Global CEO and Managing Director of Birlasoft. He had earlier spent more than 28 years at Wipro in various senior leadership positions, including CEO of its Americas 2 business unit.
He holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Pune and has completed management programmes at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago.
