Viyona Fintech Secures BBPS BOU Certification
Hyderabad, June 8(TNT): Hyderabad-based Viyona Fintech India Private Limited, an NPCI-certified technology service provider, has successfully completed certification as a Biller Operating Unit (BOU) under the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS), operated by NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited.
The certification enables Viyona to go live as a Biller Operating Unit, allowing billers across sectors such as utilities, education, insurance and financial services to collect payments through the Bharat BillPay network.
With the latest certification, Viyona has expanded its portfolio of NPCI-approved payment solutions, which already includes UPI Switch (Issuer and Acquirer), IMPS, Banking Connect and eKYC Setu.
In a release, the company said the development strengthens its position as a full-stack payments technology provider serving banks, billers and financial institutions across India.
Speaking on the achievement, Ravindranath Yarlagadda, Chairman and CEO of Viyona Fintech, said BBPS plays a crucial role in advancing digital inclusion by enabling interoperable bill payments across the country.
He said the BOU certification would help bring more billers, particularly those in underserved and regional segments, onto a single trusted network.
He added that Viyona aims to make the onboarding process fast, compliant and accessible for organizations that have not yet fully embraced digital payment systems.
As a certified Biller Operating Unit, Viyona can now onboard billers onto Bharat BillPay and provide a compliant, ready-to-integrate gateway to one of India’s largest interoperable bill payment platforms.
The company said onboarding of partner billers will commence in the coming weeks.
