Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan worship at Tirumala
Tirumala, Apr 28 (TNT): Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan offered prayers at the temple of Lord Venkateswara, here on Tuesday morning.
Upon his arrival at the Mahadwaram of the temple, the Vice-President was accorded the traditional Isthikaphal welcome by the temple priests, amidst chanting of Vedic mantras.
Later the Vice President offered prayers in the temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
After darshan, the protocol dignitary was offered Vedaseervachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam by the Vedic scholars inside temple complex.
TTD Chairman BR Naidu and Executive officer Muddada Ravichandra, offered Theertha Prasadams and laminated photo of Srivaru to the Vice President of India.
TTD Board members, other dignitaries, officials were also present.
The Vice President visited the temple on Monday evening after participating in Andhra University’s Centenary celebrations in Visakhapatnam, was received by TTD Chairman, Executive officer, and Additional EO Venkaiah Chowdary.
