UPITS 2026 opens in Greater Noida; 2,800 B2B meetings held on first day
Greater Noida, Sept 25 (TNT): The fourth Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 was inaugurated on Friday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.
The five-day trade show is being organised by the Uttar Pradesh government in association with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).
The opening day saw meetings between the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and representatives of partner countries, including Japan, Russia, Vietnam, Singapore and Belarus, to discuss trade, investment, technology collaboration and industrial partnerships.
A delegation of 30 foreign buyers from the US, UK, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Oman, the Netherlands and other European countries also met the Chief Minister under the FIEO umbrella.
Discussions focused on sourcing opportunities, investments and direct trade linkages with Uttar Pradesh-based enterprises.
More than 2,800 B2B meetings were held in the dedicated B2B area in Hall 17, with around 500 Uttar Pradesh-based MSMEs participating and generating business enquiries worth Rs 140 crore, according to the organisers.
More than 225 foreign buyers are expected to participate in B2B meetings on September 26, with prospects for sourcing tie-ups and export orders.
FIEO Director General and CEO Ajay Sahai said UPITS 2026 was showcasing the capabilities of Uttar Pradesh-based sellers across sectors including agri and food products, textiles, handicrafts, AI and IT and pharmaceuticals.
The trade show will continue till September 29 and brings together manufacturers, exporters, MSMEs, investors, global buyers and partner-country delegations for trade and investment cooperation.
