TTD trains 2,600 Srivari Seva group supervisors in second phase
Tirumala, July 2 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Thursday underscored the crucial role of Group Supervisors in the Srivari Seva programme, saying they play a key part in ensuring effective volunteer service to pilgrims.
Inaugurating the second phase of the Srivari Seva Group Supervisors Training Programme at Seva Sadan-2 in Tirumala, the Additional EO said the Srivari Seva initiative was launched by TTD in 2000 during the tenure of former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He said the special training programme aims to equip Group Supervisors to train Srivari Sevaks in their respective regions. While around 1,400 supervisors were trained in the first phase, 2,600 supervisors are undergoing training in the second phase.
Chowdary said a comprehensive training module had been developed with the support of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, combining spiritual values with managerial skills to enhance the effectiveness of volunteer services.
He urged the supervisors to thoroughly understand the training material and guide Srivari Sevaks effectively, while advising volunteers to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, patience and compassion.
The programme, he said, would also help them gain a better understanding of TTD’s functioning and enable them to provide accurate guidance and information to devotees.
Head of the Srivari Seva Department Dr. T. Ravi, trainers Dr. S.L.N.T. Srinivas, Dr. Sharath Kumar, Polamada Ramesh Babu and other department officials attended the inaugural session.
