Tirupati, Apr 18 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will organise the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Narapura Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Kadapa district from April 30 to May 10.

The festivities will commence with Ankurarpanam on April 30, followed by daily Vahana Sevas at 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.  The celebrations will conclude with Pushpayagam on May 10.

According to TTD, key events include Dwajarohanam on May 1, Garuda Vahanam on May 5, Kalyanotsavam on May 6, Rathotsavam on May 7, and Chakrasnanam along with Dwajavarohanam on May 9.

The Kalyanotsavam will be held on May 6 at 6:00 PM. Devotees can participate by paying ₹300, with the temple providing prasadam and vastrams.

As part of the celebrations, spiritual and cultural programmes such as devotional music, Harikatha and Kolatam will be conducted daily under the aegis of TTD’s dharmic wings, including the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Annamacharya Project.

Located on the banks of the Penna river, the temple has historical and religious significance. According to local belief, the deity appeared in a devotee’s dream, leading to the consecration of the idol. The temple, which was reconstructed in 1919, came under TTD administration in 2008.

TTD has appealed to devotees to participate in large numbers and seek the blessings of the Lord.
