TTD Reviews Arrangements for Twin Brahmotsavams to be held during Sept and oct in Tirumala
Tirumala, Aug. 6 (TNT): TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Thursday directed all departments to work in coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the twin Brahmotsavams scheduled to be held in Tirumala during September and October.
Reviewing the preparations at a meeting held here, the Additional EO, along with TTD Joint Executive Officer Dr. A. Sharath, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer (CVSO) Muralikrishna and Tirupati District Superintendent of Police Subbarayudu, assessed the arrangements being made for the annual religious festivals.
Venkaiah Chowdary instructed officials to increase the number of APSRTC buses in accordance with the expected pilgrim rush, earmark parking areas in advance and implement a dedicated parking management plan.
He also directed officials to distribute child identity tags extensively to prevent children from getting separated from their guardians, ensure continuous monitoring of electrical installations and temporary power arrangements, and complete all fire safety measures well in advance.
The Additional EO stressed the need for comprehensive arrangements to facilitate smooth darshan and crowd management on high-footfall days such as Garuda Vahanam and Chakrasnanam.
Joint EO Dr. A. Sharath informed the meeting that preparatory discussions had already been held with the concerned departments and several measures had been finalised to manage the heavy pilgrim influx during Garuda Seva.
He said, apart from cultural troupes from 25 Indian states, artistes from Singapore and Germany had also been invited to participate in the festivities.
The CVSO and the Tirupati District SP made a presentation on the security arrangements planned for the mega religious event.
TTD In-charge Chief Engineer Manoharam, Deputy Executive Officers Rajendra and Bhaskar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kusuma Kumari, DFO Phani Kumar Naidu, Tirumala ASP Ramakrishna, VGO Surendra and other officials attended the review meeting.
