TTD Presents Silk Vastrams to Sri Mantralaya Raghavendra in Kurnool Dist.
Tirumala, Aug 27 (TNT): On the auspicious occasion of the 355th Aradhana Mahotsavams of Jagatguru Sri Raghavendra Swamy, TTD Executive Officer M. Ravichandra on Friday presented traditional silk vastrams on behalf of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at Mantralaya in Kurnool district.
After presenting the silk vastrams, the TTD EO received the blessings of the Pontiff of Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Mutt, HH Sri Subudendratheertha.
TTD has been offering the vastrams to Sri Raghavendra Swamy since 2006.
Sri Raghavendra Swamy is believed to have been born to his parents with the blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and was known as Venkatanatha during his purvashram.
In view of this association, the presentation of silk vastrams to the ancient institution of Sanatana Hindu Dharma assumes significance.
