TTD initiates Special action plan for Srinivasa Mangapuram temple development

Tirupati, June 25 (TNT):  Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has initiated a special action plan to further develop the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Srinivasamangapuram  near here and improve facilities for devotees.

TTD JEO Dr. A. Sharath, who visited the temple and inspected the temple premises along with officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Thursday, said that all development works in the ancient temple require ASI approval and proposals will be submitted accordingly.

The proposed works include improvement of drinking water facilities, queue lines, repair of steps, construction of a Yagasala and Potu, and enhancement of other devotee amenities.

A comprehensive report will be prepared in coordination with ASI officials.

Dr. Sharath said the identified development works will be taken up on priority and completed at the earliest after obtaining the necessary permissions.

Superintending Engineer Manoharam, Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. T. Ravi, Additional Health Officer Dr. Sunil, Assistant Executive Officer Gopinath, temple priests and other officials participated in the inspection.
