TTD Addl EO Reviews Preparations for Twin Srivari Brahmotsavams

Tirumala, July 9 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Thursday directed all departments to complete preparations within the stipulated time for the twin Srivari Annual Brahmotsavams to be held this year owing to Adhika Masa.

Chairing a review meeting with Heads of Departments, along with Tirupati Joint Executive Officer Dr. A. Sharath and Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Murali Krishna, the Additional EO reviewed departmental preparedness for the annual festival.

According to the schedule, Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be held on September 8, Ankurarpanam on September 14, Dwajarohanam on September 15, Garuda Seva on September 19, Rathotsavam on September 22 and Chakrasnanam on September 23.

TTD said Vahana Sevas will be conducted daily from 8 am to 10 am and 7 pm to 9 pm during the festival.

The Additional EO instructed the Vigilance and Police departments to ensure foolproof security, effective traffic management, proper route mapping and adequate parking arrangements for devotees.

He directed officials to ensure uninterrupted distribution of Anna Prasadam at queue lines, Mada Streets and other key locations, maintain sufficient stocks of Srivari laddus, complete engineering works on schedule, strengthen sanitation measures and provide decorative lighting and floral arrangements across Tirumala.

He also called for greater mobilisation of volunteers under the Srivari Sevak programme to assist devotees during the festivities.

TTD announced that VIP break darshan for all categories, except protocol dignitaries, will remain cancelled during the Brahmotsavams. Darshan for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, parents with infants, NRIs and donors will also remain suspended during the festival period.

The temple body further said the movement of two-wheelers on the Tirumala Ghat Roads will be prohibited from 9 pm on September 18 to 6 am on September 20 in view of the expected heavy rush of devotees during Garuda Seva.

Senior TTD officials, including Chief Engineer Satya Narayana, Deputy Executive Officers, engineering, vigilance, catering and medical officials, attended the review meeting.
