Tirumala: 681 artists from 10 states, Singapore participate in Hanumantha Vahana Seva

Tirumala, Sept 20 (TNT): Cultural performances by 681 artists from 25 troupes representing 10 states and Singapore added colour and grandeur to the Hanumantha Vahana Seva held here on Sunday morning as part of the ongoing annual Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams.

Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by His consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, was taken in a procession on the Hanumantha Vahana along the four Mada Streets on the sixth day of the Brahmotsavams.

Cultural troupes from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry, Maharashtra, Odisha, Bihar, Karnataka, Manipur, Kashmir and West Bengal, besides Singapore, presented traditional dance and instrumental performances during the procession.

The performances showcased the cultural diversity of different regions and added to the devotional atmosphere as thousands of devotees witnessed the Vahana Seva.

TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra felicitated four cultural troupes for their performances during the procession by presenting them shawls.

The felicitated troupes included the Sri Venkateswara College of Music and Dance’s Sri Yogananda Vasu troupe from Tirupati, which presented Bharatanatyam with 23 artists; the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad’s Dr Sinam Basu Singh troupe from Manipur, which presented Maibi Jagoi dance with 10 artists; the Annamacharya Project’s K Sunitha troupe from Visakhapatnam, which presented folk dance with 29 artists; and the Dasa Sahitya Project’s Sri M Nrityodaya Academy troupe from Bengaluru, which presented Krishnaleela with 30 artists.
