Hyderabad, May 5 (TNT) : In view of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Telangana on 10 May, a review meeting was held at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat here on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by the State Chief Secretary, K. Ramakrishna Rao, to assess the arrangements to be undertaken.
He reviewed the progress of preparations related to the Prime Minister’s visit and directed officials of all departments to coordinate and make appropriate arrangements.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate several development programmes and also participate in a public meeting on the same day.
Accordingly, the Chief Secretary instructed the police department to ensure adequate security arrangements, maintenance of law and order, traffic management, and bandobast in line with the Blue Book protocol.
Officials from the Fire Services Department were directed to deploy sufficient fire engines at Begumpet Airport, helipads, and all venues.
Health department officials were instructed to arrange necessary medical facilities.
The police, GHMC, and Roads & Buildings Department officials were told to inspect the routes of the Prime Minister’s convoy and complete any required repairs on a war footing.
The Electricity Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply across all areas of the visit.
All departments were advised to work in coordination to ensure the Prime Minister’s visit is conducted successfully.
The meeting was attended by DGP C.V. Anand, Special Chief Secretaries Vikas Raj, Naveen Mittal, Dana Kishore, and Vani Prasad; Home Secretary Shikha Goel; Additional DG (Intelligence) Anil Kumar; Police Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri—V.C. Sajjanar, Ramesh, and Sumathi; Director General of Fire Services Vikram Singh Mann; GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan; Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner Srujana; Malkajgiri Municipal Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy; Special Commissioner of Information and Public Relations Mukund Reddy; Hyderabad Water Works MD Ashok Reddy; and other officials.
