Telangana Police to Integrate AI, Advanced Technologies into Policing Systems: DGP
Hyderabad, May 23 (TNT):Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand on Saturday said technology and innovation were no longer optional in policing and announced the formation of a dedicated Tech Team in the DGP’s Office to accelerate integration of Artificial Intelligence and advanced technologies into policing systems.
In a post on X, the DGP said a roadmap was reviewed for integrating AI and advanced technologies into Telangana Police systems to strengthen crime investigation, law and order management and service delivery.
He stated that a dedicated Tech Team was being established in the DGP’s Office to ensure continuity, faster execution and effective implementation of AI-driven policing initiatives.
The DGP also said efforts were underway to integrate major police platforms, including CCTNS, HRMS and Hawkeye, under a unified framework.
“Our focus is clear — technology must deliver practical outcomes at the field level and strengthen policing for the people of Telangana,” he said.
Anand appreciated officers and technical teams for their efforts towards building a smarter, faster and future-ready police force.
