Warangal, Apr 16 (TNT): Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has cancelled the Final MBBS General Surgery Paper-I examination held on April 15, 2026, and rescheduled it to April 27, 2026, citing discrepancies in the syllabus.
The decision was taken after it was found that certain questions in the exam did not align with the updated syllabus under new regulations prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the University said in a release on Thursday.
The university said there was a mismatch between old and new regulations, with some topics that were part of General Surgery Paper-II under the new system appearing in Paper-I of the old regulation exam conducted on April 15.
Following multiple representations from students regarding this issue, the university decided to cancel the examination in the interest of fairness.
The rescheduled examination will be conducted on April 27, ensuring that students are assessed strictly as per the prescribed syllabus, the release said.
The university said the decision was taken considering the importance of final examinations and to safeguard the interests of students.
