Hyderabad, Apr 29 (TNT): The Government of Telangana has appointed V. Hanumantha Rao as Advisor to the Government on Backward Classes (BC) Welfare and Development.
According to G.O.Rt.No.560 issued by Chief Secretary K.Ramakrishna Rao here on Wednesday , he will hold the rank and status equivalent to that of a Minister of State.
As per the order, Hanumantha Rao will be placed at Article 18 in the State’s Warrant of Precedence for the duration of his tenure, as a personal distinction.
He will receive a monthly lump-sum salary of ₹1 lakh along with applicable special and sumptuary allowances.
The position also includes benefits such as rent-free accommodation or house rent allowance, conveyance and fuel allowances, and medical reimbursement on par with senior government officials.
The Advisor will be supported by staff including a private secretary, data entry operator, office subordinates, and a driver. Communication facilities such as a residence telephone and mobile phone will also be provided.
The expenditure related to the appointment will be borne by the BC Welfare Department.
