Telangana: DGP Anand stresses cybercrime awareness, operational preparedness
Mulugu, Aug 10 (TNT) Telangana DGP C V Anand on Monday stressed the need for greater public awareness on cybercrime, drug abuse and online betting, besides strengthening operational preparedness and discipline among police personnel.
During his visit to the 5th Telangana Special Police Battalion at Mulugu, Anand interacted with officers and personnel and called for greater community outreach, particularly to create awareness among youth about emerging threats.
He emphasised continuous training, physical fitness, strict discipline and operational readiness, saying battalion personnel should remain prepared to respond to emergencies and other critical situations.
The DGP also directed officials to focus on improving battalion infrastructure and personnel welfare, including effective implementation of the Employee Health Scheme.
He called for greater use of technology in policing and strengthening of training programmes in line with modern policing requirements.
Anand interacted with personnel, heard their grievances and requirements and assured them that appropriate steps would be taken to address the issues.
He directed officers to take necessary measures for the overall development of the battalion and welfare of its personnel.
Additional DGP (Battalions) Sanjay Kumar Jain, Multi Zone-I IG Chandra Shekhar Reddy, Mulugu SP Sudhir Ramnath Kekan, ASP Manan Bhatt, 4th Battalion Commandant Shiva Prasad Reddy, 5th Battalion In-charge Commandant Seethara, Assistant Commandant Krishna Prasad, Reserve Inspectors and other officers and personnel were present.
