Telangana declares holiday on Sept 25 in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and adjoining districts for Ganesh immersion
Hyderabad, Sept 23 (TNT): The Telangana government on Wednesday declared September 25 (Friday) , a holiday for government offices, schools and colleges in and around Hyderabad and Secunderabad and adjoining Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts in view of the Ganesh idol immersion procession.
An order to this effect was issued by Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju.
According to the notification, the holiday will apply to government offices, schools and colleges located in and around the twin cities and the two adjoining districts.
The government also declared November 14, 2026 (second Saturday) as a working day for the concerned government offices, schools and colleges in lieu of the holiday declared on September 25.
The order was issued in partial modification of an earlier government order dated December 6, 2025.
