Telangana CM responds positively for Telangana Ex-Servicemen Corporation

Hyderabad, May 13 (TNT): Director of the Sainik Welfare Department Brigadier N.R. Babu (Retd) on Wednesday met Telangana Chief Minsiter A. Revanth Reddy and discussed various issues pertaining to the welfare of ex-servicemen in the State.

During the meeting, Brigadier Babu proposed the establishment of a Telangana Ex-Servicemen Corporation.

Responding positively, the Chief Minister directed officials of the Chief Minister’s Office to prepare the necessary framework and procedures for the proposed corporation.

Revanth Reddy also advised officials to study the functioning, policies and operational models of Ex-Servicemen Corporations functioning in other States and suggested convening a meeting shortly for further deliberations on the proposal.

Brigadier Babu also highlighted the need to convene the Rajya Sainik Board meeting, for which the Chief Minister serves as Chairman.

The Chief Minister assured that the feasibility of conducting the meeting at the earliest would be examined.

Further, Brigadier Babu requested early issuance of orders regarding the constitution of the State Managing Committee chaired by Shiv Pratap Shukla.

The Chief Minister assured that the required government orders would be issued soon.

The Chief Minister further stated that any additional issues concerning ex-servicemen could be submitted in detail to his Special Secretary for appropriate review and action.

He reiterated the State government’s commitment towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.

Brigadier Babu thanked the Chief Minister for responding positively to the concerns of the ex-servicemen community.

Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Ajit Reddy and Regional Sainik Welfare Officer Srinesh Kumar Nori were also present during the meeting.
