Telangana CM directs officials to expedite pending irrigation projects in old Mahabubnagar Dist.
Hyderabad, May 19 (TNT):Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed ministers and officials to expedite the completion of pending irrigation projects in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, with special focus on the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.
During a review meeting held with ministers and MLAs from the district, the Chief Minister assessed the progress of major irrigation projects, including the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project.
He instructed officials to undertake field visits and complete the land acquisition process for the project on a war footing to ensure speedy execution.
Revanth Reddy also stressed the need to expedite land acquisition for other pending irrigation projects in the region and assured that the state government would release the necessary funds for the purpose.
The Chief Minister further clarified that all pending bills related to irrigation projects would be cleared by the government.
District ministers were directed to hold regular review meetings with concerned officials and continuously monitor the progress of irrigation works in the Palamuru region.
The meeting was attended by Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari, Government Whip Yennam Srinivas Reddy, MLAs Kasireddy Narayana Reddy, Madhusudan Reddy, Megha Reddy, Rajesh Reddy, Vamsi Krishna, Veerlapalli Shankarayya, Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy and Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao.
