Telangana CID arresdts key accused in ‘Happy Future’ Job Fraud Case

Hyderabad, May 23 (TNT):The Crime Investigation Department (CID) Telangana has arrested an accused in connection with the “Happy Future Multipurpose Co-Operative Society Ltd.” fraud case involving cheating of unemployed youth through false job promises.

The accused allegedly collected huge sums of money from unemployed educated youth and members of the public by assuring them of employment opportunities before misappropriating the funds,said DGP (CID) Ms Charu Sinha in a release here on Saturday.

The case was originally registered at Panjagutta Police Station under Sections 420 read with 34 of the IPC and Sections 3 and 5 of the Telangana Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act, 1999, before being transferred to CID, Cyberabad for investigation.

She revealed that the accused had established regional offices in Hyderabad, Warangal and Khammam and allegedly collected around ₹3 crore from nearly 1,194 victims under the guise of providing jobs.

The DGP said A-5, identified as M. Dinesh Kumar alias Santosh Kumar, was arrested on May 20, 2026, and produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Coimbatore.

He was later brought to Hyderabad on a transit warrant and remanded by the VI Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Nampally.

She stated that 11 cases have been registered against the same firm and are under CID investigation. So far, 12 accused persons have been arrested in connection with the case.

According to the CID, the accused induced unemployed youth to deposit money with the society by offering fake assurances of jobs and allegedly operated regional offices without proper permissions and in violation of rules and regulations.

The CID has advised the public not to invest money in fraudulent schemes promising employment opportunities without verifying their credentials with authorised public agencies.
