Tata Boeing Aerospace rolls out 400th fuselage for AH-64E Apache
Hyderabad, Sept 7 (TNT): Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited, has rolled out its 400th fuselage for the AH-64E Apache, marking a significant milestone in India’s growing aerospace manufacturing capabilities.
The milestone underscores the growing maturity of India’s aerospace ecosystem and its integration into global defence supply chains, the company said in a release on Monday.
Established in 2016, TBAL operates a 52,000-square-metre facility supported by more than 750 engineers and technicians.
The facility manufactures Apache fuselages that are supplied worldwide, including from India to the United States and beyond.
The achievement highlights India’s expanding role in the global aerospace sector and its capability to manufacture and supply critical aerospace structures for international defence platforms.
According to the company’s infographic, the Indian Apache fleet comprises 22 helicopters operated by the Indian Air Force and six by the Indian Army.
The rollout of the 400th fuselage is a significant indicator of the scale and maturity achieved by India’s aerospace manufacturing sector and its growing participation in global defence production networks.
