SCR employees part of Indian women’s kabaddi team that wins Asian Games gold

Hyderabad, Sept 26 (TNT): The Indian women’s kabaddi team won the gold medal at the 20th Asian Games 2026 held at Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with two players and the coach associated with South Central Railway (SCR) part of the victorious squad.

SCR players Ritu Negi and Pinky Roy were members of the 12-player Indian team, while Neetha Didwe served as the team’s coach, the South Central Railway (SCR) said in a release on Saturday.

Ritu Negi is working as an Office Superintendent at the Electric Loco Shed in Lallaguda, while Pinky Roy is a Senior Technician at the Signal and Telecommunication Workshop in Mettuguda.

Neetha Didwe is working as a Chief Office Superintendent in the office of the Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer.

SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava congratulated the three on their achievement and appreciated their contribution to the Indian women’s kabaddi team, which brought laurels to Indian Railways and South Central Railway.

He wished them continued success in their future sporting endeavours.
