New Delhi, July 29 (TNT): SBI Card and Google on Wednesday launched the Google Pay Flex SBI Card, a co-branded credit card aimed at offering rewards, flexible repayment options and integrated digital account management through the Google Pay app.
The card, introduced as part of the Flex by Google Pay offering, enables customers to earn reward points, called Stars, on everyday spending across categories such as groceries, utility bill payments, travel bookings and shopping. Cardholders can earn up to 18,000 Stars annually, with instant redemption available at the time of payment.
Available on both RuPay and Visa payment networks, the card allows customers to choose their preferred network.
The RuPay variant can be linked to UPI for payments at UPI-enabled merchants, while both variants support tokenisation on Google Pay for contactless tap-to-pay transactions.
The card also offers customers the option to convert their latest outstanding bill into equated monthly instalments (EMIs) through the Google Pay app.
The card carries a joining and annual renewal fee of ₹499 plus applicable taxes, with renewal fees waived on annual spending of ₹1 lakh. Cardholders will receive welcome benefits worth ₹1,000, including rewards linked to Google Pay transactions and joining fee payment.
