Rs 50 Lakh Sanctioned for Modernisation of Panduru Tank: Kakinada Rural MLA Nanaji

Kakinada, May 25 (UNI): Kakinada Rural MLA Pantham Nanaji on Monday performed bhoomi puja for the modernisation of the Panduru fresh water tank under the PMKSY-20 scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the tank would be developed into a tourist and recreation spot at an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh.

The MLA said the tank, located along the Kakinada–Pithapuram main road, would be developed with modern amenities including a walking track, children’s park, open gym, solar lighting, seating benches and a grand entrance arch.

“The objective is to provide recreation facilities not only to the people of Panduru village but also to residents of surrounding areas,” he said.

Nanaji further stated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan had assured additional funds for the project so that the location could eventually be developed into a major tourist centre.

He added that the tank bund widening works would be completed expeditiously.

Leaders of coalition parties, including Penke Srinivasa Baba, Nurukurti Venkateswararao, Rambala Venkateswararao, Meka Lakshman Choudary, Sirangu Srinivas, Thatikayala Veerababu, Sode Musalaiah, Penke Somaraju, Nandipati Srinivas, Dasari Siva and Garaga Srinivas, participated in the programme.
