Reliance Launches WhatsApp-Based AGM Digital Assistant Ahead of 49th Annual General Meeting
Mumbai, June 13 (TNT): Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has launched its AGM Digital Assistant on WhatsApp ahead of its 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to be held on June 19, 2026, through video conferencing via JioEvents.
In a release , the company said shareholders can access the Digital Assistant by messaging the WhatsApp number +91 79771 11111.
The initiative, first introduced in 2020, is being deployed for the sixth consecutive year as part of Reliance’s efforts to enhance shareholder engagement through digital technology.
According to RIL, it was the first company in India to introduce a chatbot service dedicated to addressing shareholder and investor queries related to its AGM, making it one of the earliest large-scale corporate deployments of an AGM-specific chatbot in the country.
The Digital Assistant serves as a single-window platform providing AGM-related information and support. Shareholders can access details on the meeting, remote e-voting procedures, Insta Poll participation, dividend and taxation information, AGM documents, frequently asked questions and other shareholder services through a menu-driven interface.
The chatbot also enables shareholders to submit queries and obtain information regarding virtual participation in the AGM.
In addition, it offers direct access to support channels, including the dedicated AGM support email and registrar helpdesk details.
RIL said the service will be available round the clock throughout the AGM period until the conclusion of the meeting, allowing shareholders to obtain timely assistance while reducing dependence on manual support systems.
The AGM Digital Assistant has been developed by Jio Haptik, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited that specializes in intelligent virtual assistant solutions for businesses.
The company said the initiative forms part of its broader digital engagement strategy aimed at making shareholder participation simpler, more transparent and accessible through technology-enabled solutions.
