Registration Wing Generates Rs 15,000 Crore Annual Revenue in Telangana: CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad, June 7 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday said the registration wing contributes nearly ₹15,000 crore annually to the state exchequer, making it one of the major sources of revenue for the government.

Addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stones for a Sub-Registrar Office complex at Koheda in Abdullapurmet mandal of Rangareddy district, the Chief Minister said nearly 60 per cent of the registration revenue is generated from Rangareddy district alone.

He said the government is utilising these funds to implement welfare and development programmes across Telangana.

Reddy expressed concern over the inadequate infrastructure and lack of basic amenities in many Sub-Registrar offices despite the department’s significant contribution to state revenues.

“It is unfortunate that offices generating such substantial revenue continue to function without adequate facilities. People who contribute to the state’s income deserve better services and infrastructure,” he said.

The Chief Minister announced that the government is undertaking a major modernisation initiative by developing 39 Sub-Registrar offices located within the Outer Ring Road into 12 integrated clusters.

The integrated complexes are being designed to provide improved public services, better infrastructure and enhanced convenience for citizens visiting registration offices, he added.

The foundation stone for the new Sub-Registrar Office complex at Koheda was laid as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen public infrastructure and improve service delivery in the rapidly developing Rangareddy district.
