Raheja, Ramky and Yashoda Groups Announce CSR Funds for School Infra in Telangana
Hyderabad, May 23 (TNT): The Raheja Group, Ramky Foundation and Yashoda Foundation have partnered with the Telangana government to support construction and upgradation of government educational institutions under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Representatives of the three organisations signed agreements with the state government in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat on Saturday.
Neel C. Raheja, President of the Raheja Group, Alla Dakshayani, Managing Trustee of Ramky Foundation, and Gorukanti Devender Rao, Director of Yashoda Group, handed over the agreement documents to the Chief Minister.
Under the agreement, Ramky Foundation will contribute 40 per cent of the total project cost amounting to ₹19.66 crore for construction of a new educational campus at Jawahar Nagar in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, with facilities from pre-primary to Intermediate level.
The foundation will also spend 40 per cent of the ₹10.4 crore project cost for upgradation of the Zilla Parishad High School Tukkuguda in Maheshwaram mandal of Ranga Reddy district, including facilities for pre-primary to Class 5 and Intermediate sections.
The Raheja Group will bear the entire ₹50.50 crore cost required for development of educational facilities from pre-primary to Intermediate level at Kondapur in Ranga Reddy district.
Meanwhile, Yashoda Hospitals will provide ₹12.20 crore for development of facilities for pre-primary, Class 6 and Class 7 students at the MPPS in Subhash Nagar, Uppal, in Medchal–Malkajgiri district.
Education Department Secretary Yogita Rana, Commissioner of Technical Education Devasena, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Ajith Reddy, Indian Green Building Council Chairman C. Shekhar Reddy and Telangana Education Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation Managing Director Ganapathi Reddy were present on the occasion.
